Primary Teaching Assistant – Lambeth (Sep 2026 start)

About the role

This full‑time, temporary position offers recent graduates the chance to gain hands‑on experience in an outstanding primary school in Lambeth, supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. You will work alongside experienced teachers, delivering targeted literacy and numeracy interventions while developing classroom confidence ahead of teacher training.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils during whole‑class lessons.
• Deliver focused phonics, reading and maths interventions.
• Provide one‑to‑one assistance for pupils needing extra guidance.
• Prepare and organise classroom resources and learning materials.
• Promote positive behaviour and an inclusive learning environment.

Required profile

• Holds A‑Levels (or equivalent) and a BA degree.
• Enthusiastic about primary education and aspiring to become a primary teacher.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, proactive and well‑organised.
