Primary Teaching Assistant – Leeds

About the role
We are looking for a passionate Primary Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school in Leeds. You will support young learners, deliver small‑group interventions and help create an inclusive classroom environment.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver tailored small‑group literacy and numeracy interventions to improve pupil attainment.
- Provide one‑to‑one support for children with SEND or EAL needs.
- Assist the classroom teacher with resource preparation, display creation and behaviour management.
- Supervise pupils during lesson transitions, break times and school trips.
- Foster a safe and encouraging learning atmosphere.
Required profile
- Practical experience working with children in schools, nurseries, youth clubs or tutoring.
- Minimum GCSE Grade C/4 (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
- Compassionate, patient demeanor with strong communication skills.
- Valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- High adaptability and proactive approach to classroom dynamics.
