Primary Teaching Assistant – Manchester

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Primary Teaching Assistant to join schools in the Manchester area, supporting pupils in Trafford or Salford. The role offers flexible arrangements, including day‑to‑day supply, long‑term assignments or full‑time positions, and involves working across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils.
• Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and delivery.
• Help create a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
• Support children with special educational needs where required.
• Work across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 curricula.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a UK primary school setting.
• Proactive, enthusiastic and adaptable attitude.
• Willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS check on the Update Service.

Required skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to support SEN pupils.
• Organisational skills for managing classroom activities.
