About the role
This part‑time position supports teaching and learning across a primary school, focusing on phonics, early writing and maths for Key Stage 2. You will work under the direction of a qualified teacher, helping individuals, small groups and whole classes.
Key responsibilities
- Organise and support teaching activities in phonics, early writing and maths for KS2 classes.
- Deliver specified work with individuals, groups and whole classes under teacher guidance.
- Supervise whole classes during short‑term teacher absences when required.
Required profile
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Experience leading small groups or individual children in a classroom.
- Hard‑working, organised and able to thrive in a small school environment.
- Commitment to promoting the school’s Christian values.
Required skills
- Recent phonics training (e.g., Read Write Inc) – desirable.
- Paediatric first aid certification – desirable.
What we offer
- 0.7 week schedule (all mornings and two afternoons).
- Hourly rate between £14.63 and £16.35.
