Primary Teaching Assistant – Salford (Full‑time Temp)

About the role
We are recruiting a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Salford. The role starts in September and offers a long‑term temporary full‑time placement, supporting pupils with additional learning needs in a positive and inclusive environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH and communication difficulties.
- Assist pupils with emotional regulation, routines and positive behaviour strategies.
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider school staff to deliver tailored support.
- Encourage confidence, independence and engagement in lessons.
- Support the social, emotional and academic development of individual pupils.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a childcare or school setting.
- Calm, patient and resilient approach.
- Confidence supporting pupils with additional needs and challenging behaviour.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Genuine passion for education and supporting vulnerable learners.
