Primary Teaching Assistant – South Lancaster

About the role
Join a friendly primary school in South Lancaster as a Teaching Assistant. You will support the delivery of lessons for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils and become a familiar, trusted presence in the classroom for the full academic year.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the classroom teacher with daily lessons and educational activities.
- Prepare teaching materials and set up classroom resources.
- Help manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to reinforce learning.
- Supervise students during school activities, outings and extra‑curricular events.
Required profile
- Good knowledge of the KS1/KS2 curriculum.
- Previous experience in a teaching assistant or similar role is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Team‑oriented mindset and willingness to develop professionally.
Required skills
- No specific technical skills required; a solid understanding of the primary curriculum is essential.
