About the role
Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a passionate Primary Teacher to join a well‑established 1.5‑form entry school in Wigan. The role is for a Year 3 classroom, starting in September 2026 with the possibility of extending to a permanent position.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Year 3 lessons aligned to the national curriculum.
- Maintain a respectful, focused classroom through effective behaviour management.
- Monitor pupil progress and support academic development.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a valid teaching licence.
- Experience teaching in a primary classroom, preferably Year 3.
- Enhanced DBS clearance (and overseas police checks if applicable).
- Legal right to work in the UK and professional references.
Required skills
- Strong lesson‑planning and delivery abilities.
- Effective classroom management techniques.
- Ability to assess and support pupil progress.
