Principal Business Consultant – R&D – Clinical

About the role

Veeva is seeking a Principal Business Consultant to join its R&D Business Consulting practice. You will help life‑science customers accelerate treatments by transforming operating models with technology, data, and AI. The role involves leading large, complex global projects and shaping strategic growth for the practice.

Key responsibilities

• Act as lead for Veeva BC’s largest and most complex global projects, ensuring excellence across multiple teams.
• Drive business development for the R&D practice, architecting and winning deals exceeding $1M.
• Manage and mentor high‑performing consulting teams, overseeing professional growth and delivery standards.
• Develop and champion industry‑leading thought leadership in R&D domains.
• Serve as trusted advisor to C‑suite stakeholders, leveraging Veeva’s data and software to solve critical challenges.

Required profile

• 10+ years of R&D Life Sciences consulting experience (management consulting preferred).
• Proven track record of winning and delivering $1M+ consulting engagements.
• Deep domain knowledge in Clinical Data/Operations and broad understanding of the Life Sciences landscape.
• Extensive experience managing multiple project teams and senior‑level customer relationships.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher.

• Knowledge of Veeva products.
• Experience delivering SaaS or tech‑enabled consulting solutions.
