Principal Director – SAP (Enterprise Architecture)

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Director to lead SAP Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) architecture across a large enterprise. The role reports to senior leadership and combines strategic roadmap design with hands‑on solution delivery, ensuring finance and reporting systems are scalable, integrated and compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Define and enforce architectural governance for SAP EPM programmes covering budgeting, planning, forecasting, consolidation and corporate reporting.
• Architect and manage SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP BPC, SAP BW/BW4HANA and S/4HANA environments, ensuring seamless integration with SAP ECC, S/4HANA, BW and third‑party data sources.
• Lead full‑lifecycle delivery from discovery and blueprinting through configuration, validation, deployment and hyper‑care support.
• Drive migration initiatives such as moving from SAP BPC to SAP Analytics Cloud and guide cloud‑adoption roadmaps.
• Maintain system performance, data integrity, audit readiness and compliance with internal financial controls.
• Provide technical direction to delivery teams, mentor consultants and support business development activities including architecture assessments and client pitches.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, preferably within finance or SAP landscapes.
• Proven track record of leading large‑scale SAP EPM implementations and migrations.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, working closely with Finance, IT, FP&A and Controllership teams.
• Ability to translate business requirements into sustainable technical solutions.
