Principal Site Reliability Engineer – Up to £250k + Bonus

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Principal Site Reliability Engineer to join a high‑performing infrastructure team responsible for the reliability, automation and performance of critical trading platforms. You will work across Linux, distributed systems and production infrastructure, partnering with software engineers to improve resilience, automate operations and solve complex technical challenges at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Build and improve highly available production infrastructure.
• Automate operational processes and eliminate manual tasks.
• Investigate and resolve complex production and performance issues.
• Enhance monitoring, observability and overall platform reliability.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to deliver resilient applications.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in an SRE, DevOps or production‑operations role.
• Strong Linux systems expertise.
• Proficiency in Python or Go for automation and tooling.
• Experience supporting distributed systems in production.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, networking and CI/CD in an on‑prem environment.
• Deep understanding of monitoring and observability platforms.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills with an engineering‑first mindset.
