Principal/Senior Scientist MSAT

About the role

We are looking for an experienced bioprocessing scientist to join our Manufacturing Science & Technology (MSAT) team. The Principal/Senior Scientist will lead complex projects that bridge development and GMP manufacturing, ensuring robust and scalable processes for advanced pharmaceutical products.

Key responsibilities

• Lead process transfer and scale‑up activities into GMP manufacturing environments.
• Prepare, review and maintain technical documentation such as process descriptions, change controls and risk assessments.
• Plan and oversee experimental and pilot‑scale studies, interpret data and produce clear reports.
• Ensure processes are robust, scalable and meet quality and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with operations, quality, engineering and supply‑chain teams.
• Support investigations, including deviations, root‑cause analysis and impact assessments.

Required profile

• Degree (or higher) in a scientific or engineering discipline.
• Strong recent industry experience in bioprocessing, covering upstream and/or downstream operations.
• Demonstrated experience in process transfer, MSAT or manufacturing support environments.
• Background in biologics or advanced therapeutic development.
• Hands‑on experience working in a GMP environment, preferably supporting manufacturing or scale‑up activities.
