Print Management Engineer

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established managed print and IT services provider to recruit an experienced Remote Print Engineer. The role is remote/hybrid and focuses on managing print environments for multiple customers, resolving incidents, administering print management platforms, and ensuring smooth printing services through proactive monitoring and troubleshooting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide remote support for printers, multifunction devices and print management systems, diagnosing and resolving printing, scanning, copying and connectivity issues.
• Monitor print environments, manage print queues, servers and driver deployments, and proactively address issues before they impact users.
• Configure and maintain secure and follow‑me printing solutions, administer platforms such as PaperCut, uniFLOW or Equitrac, and manage user access and reporting.
• Respond to incidents and service requests within SLA, perform root‑cause analysis, and coordinate escalations for complex problems.
• Produce reports on device status, print volumes and system performance, identifying opportunities to improve service delivery and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with security standards, support firmware upgrades, and maintain secure authentication and data‑protection requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting enterprise print environments remotely, with strong knowledge of Windows print server administration.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP and Active Directory.
• Experience with IT service management (ITSM) tools and ticketing systems.
• Familiarity with print management platforms such as PaperCut, uniFLOW or Equitrac, and with Microsoft 365, Azure and cloud‑print technologies.
• Desirable: ITIL Foundation certification, Microsoft or vendor‑specific certifications, and a degree or diploma in IT or a related field.
