About the role
Join G4S as a Prison Custody Officer at HMP Rye Hill, supporting the safe and secure operation of the prison. This full‑time, permanent position offers an immediate start and a clear pathway for career progression within the corrections sector.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain order and safety within the prison environment, ensuring secure movement of prisoners.
- Oversee daily routines, including work assignments, education programmes, and cell security.
- Provide guidance and support to prisoners, treating each individual with dignity and respect.
- Collaborate with senior staff to uphold the prison’s rehabilitation philosophy.

- Starting salary £32,165.23 per annum, rising to £34,306.22 after two years.
