Prison Officer – HMP Bullingdon

About the role
The Prison Officer role at HMP Bullingdon involves protecting the public and making a positive impact on prisoners' lives. You will work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment, handling a variety of duties from security to support and education.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain safety and security of the prison and the public.
- Supervise and interact with prisoners, building constructive relationships.
- Work as part of a team to ensure a safe environment, covering various shifts including weekends.
- Perform duties ranging from peacekeeping to counseling and education within the prison setting.
Required profile
- At least 18 years old.
- Meet Civil Service nationality requirements.
- Pass medical, fitness and eyesight assessments.
- Demonstrate integrity, resilience, strong communication and teamwork.
