Private Banker – High Net Worth Clients

About the role

Arbuthnot Latham is expanding its Bristol private banking team and is looking for two Private Bankers to develop and manage relationships with High Net Worth (HNW) clients. The role combines relationship management, product advisory and risk oversight within a prestigious city‑centre office.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of HNW clients, acting as their strategic banking partner and gateway to the bank’s products and services.
• Develop and present business cases to match financial solutions to client needs, including loan management and investment options.
• Drive client acquisition through personal and business networks, expanding the client base.
• Monitor portfolio performance, ensuring impact on P&L and balance sheet aligns with targets.
• Take ownership of risk and regulatory compliance, adhering to internal policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Broad experience in financial services with a solid understanding of the private banking market.
• Proven track record of delivering results and building long‑term client relationships.
• Ability to identify cross‑selling opportunities and develop business cases.
• Strong risk management mindset and compliance awareness.
• Relevant banking, financial planning or investment management qualifications (Level 4, CeMAP preferred).
