Private Banker – Middle East & North Africa

About the role

Barclays is seeking an Ultra‑High‑Net‑Worth Private Banker to join its growing Private Banking team in London. You will work with affluent clients across the Middle East and North Africa, delivering bespoke banking, credit and investment solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of UHNW clients, understanding their financial goals and risk appetite.
• Act as the primary point of contact, providing exceptional service, financial advice and regular portfolio reviews.
• Identify, onboard and nurture new client relationships through networking, referrals and strategic partnerships.
• Deliver tailored wealth‑management strategies, including estate planning, succession and offshore structuring where appropriate.
• Stay informed on market trends, economic updates and investment opportunities, and communicate these insights to clients.
• Represent Barclays at client events, wealth‑management forums and high‑profile gatherings in London.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Private Banker with a client base of at least £20 m in investable assets within the Middle East market.
• Demonstrated ability to service and grow relationships with Ultra‑High‑Net‑Worth clients.
• Strong risk‑management experience within a client book.
• Deep understanding of global economic, political and competitive dynamics and their impact on clients.
