Private Client Account Handler – Insurance Broker

About the role

This position is for an experienced insurance professional who will manage a portfolio of private clients, providing tailored insurance solutions and a high level of personal service. You will work within a respected insurance brokerage, supporting client needs throughout the insurance lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Manage private client policies from inception to renewal, handling mid‑term adjustments and amendments.
• Prepare quotations and respond to new business enquiries.
• Assess client insurance requirements and recommend appropriate cover.
• Liaise with insurers and underwriters to secure competitive terms.
• Produce accurate policy documentation and correspondence.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients via phone and email.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing cover and introduce relevant additional products.
• Maintain compliant client records and ensure work meets FCA and internal regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the wider business.

Required profile

• Previous experience in insurance broking or with an insurer, preferably in personal lines, private client or high‑net‑worth segments.
• Experience handling household, motor and related personal insurance products.
• Proven ability to manage renewals and mid‑term adjustments.
• Strong customer service and relationship‑building capabilities.
• High attention to detail and a consultative, professional approach.
• Desire to obtain or progress CII qualifications.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Acturis or a comparable insurance broking system.
