Private Client Advisor

About the role

We are seeking a Private Client Advisor to join a well‑established professional services firm. The role involves drafting wills, creating lasting powers of attorney and managing full estate administration, with a strong focus on client interaction and relationship building.

Key responsibilities

• Draft wills and related documents based on client instructions received via email, phone or meetings.
• Respond to technical queries from clients and professional advisors, both in writing and at meetings.
• Maintain accurate, compliant records for wills and process associated fees.
• Draft and register lasting powers of attorney, liaise with clients, families and advisors, and manage corporate trustee appointments.
• Handle estate administration from death notification to final completion, including probate support, asset collection, tax advice and distribution.
• Develop strong family relationships, identify opportunities to retain assets and generate new business.

Required profile

• Sound knowledge of wills and lasting powers of attorney with practical experience.
• Awareness of post‑death tax planning opportunities, such as Deeds of Variation.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal sensitively with bereaved clients.
