Private Client Case Handler – Hybrid, Up to £50k

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, client‑focused Private Client Case Handler to join the growing legal team at Sort Group. Working on a hybrid basis, you will manage your own caseload of wills, powers of attorney, probate and estate administration matters, delivering a high level of service during key life events.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied private client caseload from instruction through to conclusion.
• Prepare and advise on wills, lasting powers of attorney and estate administration.
• Assist clients with probate and the administration of estates.
• Liaise with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions and third parties.
• Draft legal documents, correspondence and client reports.
• Maintain accurate records and update the case management system.
• Ensure compliance with AML, GDPR and internal procedures.
• Provide excellent client care and support colleagues within the team.

Required profile

• Proven experience handling private client matters such as wills, probate and lasting powers of attorney.
• Ability to manage a caseload with appropriate supervision.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Professional, empathetic and approachable manner.
• Desire to develop further within a private client environment.
• Relevant qualifications (CILEX, STEP, Solicitor) are an advantage.
