Private Client Lawyer – High Net Worth (4‑5 yrs PQE)

About the role

We are seeking a Private Client Lawyer with 4‑5 years post‑qualification experience to join a respected law firm serving high‑net‑worth individuals across Hastings and Eastbourne. The role offers exposure to complex estate matters and the chance to work closely with a senior Partner who values mentorship.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of private client matters for high‑net‑worth clients.
• Draft wills and provide comprehensive estate‑planning advice.
• Handle probate and estate administration, including intestacy cases.
• Advise on Lasting Powers of Attorney and prepare Declarations of Trust.
• Undertake more complex work such as Court of Protection matters.
• Collaborate closely with the Partner and a supportive team.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with approximately 4‑5 years PQE (flexibility for the right candidate).
• Experience working with high‑net‑worth clients is highly desirable.
• Strong background in private client work (wills, probate, LPAs).
• Ability to manage a caseload independently and a proactive, client‑focused approach.
• Team‑oriented mindset and commitment to a supportive culture.
