Private Client Lifetime Planning Solicitor (2+ PQE)

About the role

My client is recruiting a qualified solicitor to join an established and growing Private Client/Lifetime Planning team, with the role based in either Gloucester or Stroud. This is an excellent opportunity to develop a career within a specialist private client environment, advising individuals, families and business owners on lifetime planning and asset protection matters.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on wills, trusts and lasting powers of attorney.
• Support succession and estate planning matters.
• Provide future planning and asset protection advice to individuals, families and business owners.
• Identify clients' wider needs, risks and objectives rather than merely responding to instructions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and professional referrers.
• Develop your own network through networking and business‑development activity.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and support more junior team members.
• Contribute to the growth and development of the firm’s Private Client/Lifetime Planning offering.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales.
• Strong experience in private client/lifetime planning matters.
• Excellent client care and communication skills.
• Ability to explain complex legal issues clearly and practically.
• Personable, approachable and empathetic manner.
• Commercial awareness and a proactive approach.
• Ability to build lasting relationships with clients and professional contacts.
• Collaborative approach and willingness to support colleagues.
• Interest in developing your profile and contributing to business development.
