Private Client Paralegal

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Private Client Paralegal to join a busy private client department in Bedford. You will support fee‑earners across a broad range of matters, including wills, probate, lasting powers of attorney, trusts and inheritance tax planning, while working in a hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Draft legal documents and correspondence for private client matters.
• Prepare probate and estate administration paperwork.
• Liaise with clients, beneficiaries and third parties.
• Manage files and maintain case‑management systems.
• Assist the progression of matters from instruction through to completion.
• Provide day‑to‑day case management support to fee‑earners.

Required profile

• Previous experience within a Private Client department.
• Knowledge of wills, probate, lasting powers of attorney and estate administration.
• Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
• Excellent communication and client‑care skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Experience with case‑management systems is advantageous.
