Private Client Partner – Wills, Trusts & Probate (Hybrid)

About the role

G2 Legal Limited is seeking a Private Client Partner to lead its Wills, Trusts and Probate practice in Dorset. This senior solicitor will work hybrid, combining office presence with flexible remote days, and will help shape a growing service for high‑net‑worth individuals, business owners and landed estates.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and expand the Wills, Trusts & Probate offering across Dorset.
• Manage a varied caseload including complex wills, estate administration, tax and succession planning, trusts and lasting powers of attorney.
• Develop and maintain relationships with referrers, professional advisers and local networks.
• Drive business development and strategic growth for the private client team.
• Mentor and support junior lawyers as the practice expands.
• Collaborate with related practice areas such as residential property, commercial, construction and family law.

Required profile

• Experienced Private Client solicitor at Partner or Senior Associate level, ready for partnership.
• Confident handling of complex estates, tax planning and trust matters.
• Strong client relationship management, particularly with high‑value clients and professional referrers.
• Commercially minded with a proven track record in business development.
• Collaborative, supportive and eager to contribute to a growing team culture.
• STEP qualification or working towards STEP (preferred but not essential).

Required skills

• Expertise in wills, trusts, probate and related tax legislation.
• Ability to advise on succession planning and estate administration.
• Knowledge of STEP standards and best practice.
