Private Client Senior Associate

About the role

Our client, a leading London law firm, is seeking a Private Client Senior Associate to join its highly regarded Private Client & Tax team. You will work on sophisticated, high‑value matters for an international, high‑net‑worth client base, collaborating with a supportive and experienced group of lawyers.

Key responsibilities

• Draft wills and advise on succession planning, including on‑shore and off‑shore trust and wealth structuring.
• Provide inheritance‑tax advice, covering reliefs, exemptions and strategic planning.
• Manage cross‑border succession matters and coordinate with international counsel.
• Advise on tax residency, domicile and personal tax issues, including remittance basis and capital gains tax.
• Support trustees and beneficiaries with trust structuring and restructuring.
• Handle mental‑capacity matters, such as lasting powers of attorney.
• Guide clients on philanthropy, charitable giving and impact investing.
• Oversee compliance and regulatory matters affecting individuals and trustees.
• Structure UK residential property holdings and advise on related taxes (ATED, SDLT).
• Deliver general private‑client and tax advisory work.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience in a reputable Private Client team.
• Strong technical expertise across private‑client and tax matters.
