Private Client Solicitor (2-4 years PQE)

About the role

The Legists are expanding their well‑established Private Client team in Reading. We are looking for a solicitor with 2–4 years post‑qualification experience to join a collaborative, forward‑thinking department handling high‑quality, non‑contentious private client work.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare wills and lasting powers of attorney for a diverse client base.
• Advise on estate administration and inheritance tax planning.
• Complete inheritance tax (IHT) returns and related documentation.
• Provide tailored, practical advice on a broad range of private client matters.
• Participate in business‑development initiatives and cross‑team projects.
• Collaborate with senior practitioners across contentious and non‑contentious disciplines.

Required profile

• 2–4 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in private client work.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently while building lasting client relationships.
• Willingness to take ownership of matters and seek mentorship from senior colleagues.
• Strong collaborative mindset and interest in business development.
