Private Client Solicitor – 3+ PQE – Devon

About the role

Our client, a respected regional law firm in Devon, is expanding its Private Client team. The successful candidate will join a supportive environment that delivers specialist advice on wills, probate, trusts and estate administration to individuals and families across the South West.

Key responsibilities

• Draft wills and provide comprehensive estate‑planning advice.
• Advise on inheritance tax, succession planning and asset protection.
• Create and administer trusts, including variations and post‑death planning.
• Manage probate matters, grants of representation and estate administration.
• Prepare lasting powers of attorney, Court of Protection and deputyship applications.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years post‑qualification experience in private client law (all levels considered).
• Strong technical knowledge of wills, probate, trusts and estate administration.
• STEP qualification or ongoing STEP studies advantageous but not essential.
