Private Client Solicitor (5+ years experience)

About the role

We are seeking a Private Client Solicitor with at least five years of post‑qualifying experience to join a respected regional law firm in Berkhamsted. The role involves advising high‑net‑worth families on a wide range of private client matters and contributing to the firm’s strong community presence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload covering wills, estate planning, trusts, tax issues, powers of attorney and inheritance matters.
• Provide comprehensive advice on general estate administration and related legal services.
• Develop and maintain long‑term relationships with high‑net‑worth clients.
• Participate in networking events and community outreach initiatives.
• Support the firm’s business development and progression pathways.

Required profile

• 5+ years post‑qualifying experience in private client or related practice.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex wills, trusts and tax‑related matters.
• Accreditation or progress towards STEP, SFE or similar private client qualification is desirable.
• Client‑focused mindset with a proactive approach to relationship building.
• Positive, motivated attitude and strong communication skills.
