Private Client Solicitor – Bedford

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join a busy private client department in Bedford. You will work within a supportive team handling a broad range of private client matters and will have clear opportunities for long‑term career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Manage an existing caseload covering wills, probate and estate administration.
• Prepare and review lasting powers of attorney and trusts.
• Provide inheritance tax planning advice to clients.
• Develop and maintain client relationships, generating new business opportunities.
• Support and mentor junior team members as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience handling private client matters such as wills, probate, LPAs and estate administration.
• Ability to manage a caseload with minimal supervision.
• Strong client care and communication skills.
• STEP qualification or willingness to work towards accreditation (advantageous but not essential).
• Solicitors, Legal Executives and experienced Paralegals will all be considered.
