Private Client Solicitor – Chelmsford

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established firm of solicitors in Chelmsford that offers a full suite of services to both business and private clients. The successful candidate will join a high‑performing Private Client team of around 17 professionals, serving high‑net‑worth individuals and families.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver fee‑earning work independently and as part of the team.
• Maintain and develop relationships with existing clients and generate new business.
• Manage private client matters, focusing on wills, trusts, LPAs, deputy orders, and estate administration.
• Provide tax and trust planning advice.
• Liaise with IFAs, accountants and other third‑party advisers.
• Uphold confidentiality and professional standards at all times.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) – candidates with slightly less experience may also be considered.
• Strong client‑facing abilities and a proven track record of nurturing and expanding client relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Positive, adaptable attitude and a commitment to achieving financial targets.
