Private Client Solicitor – Head of Team (Hybrid/Flexible)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to lead a sub‑team within our growing Private Client department in Kingsbridge, South Hams, Devon. The role offers autonomy, a varied high‑quality caseload and the chance to develop a loyal client base.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of an established private client caseload and supervise a small team.
• Provide advice and drafting on wills, estate planning, probate, inheritance tax and lasting powers of attorney.
• Handle Court of Protection matters and, where relevant, trust creation and administration.
• Maintain high standards of client care and develop long‑term relationships with high‑net‑worth clients.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx) with at least 2 years PQE in private client work.
• Strong communication and client‑care abilities.
• Ability to manage own caseload confidently.
• STEP qualification or interest in obtaining it is a plus.
• Supervision experience preferred but not essential.
