Private Client Solicitor

About the role

We are seeking a Private Client Solicitor to join a well‑established, client‑focused practice in Eastbourne. The role offers flexibility, supportive leadership and the chance to develop within a close‑knit team, whether you are at a junior or more senior level.

Key responsibilities

• Drafting wills and related documentation.
• Handling probate and intestacy matters, including estate administration.
• Preparing lasting powers of attorney and declarations of trust.
• Managing the affairs of elderly clients and Court of Protection cases (junior level).
• Undertaking more complex estate administration for senior candidates.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years post‑qualification experience (flexible for the right candidate).
• Demonstrated experience in probate and estate administration.
• Compassionate, client‑focused approach with confidence to manage a caseload.
• Team‑oriented attitude and ambition to grow technically and professionally.
• For senior applicants: ability to support the Head of Department and handle complex estates.
• For junior applicants: solid foundational private client experience and enthusiasm to develop.
