Private Client Solicitor – Junior / Trainee (NQ‑2 PQE)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Private Client Solicitor to join a well‑established boutique firm in Chatham, Kent. This position is designed as a strategic growth hire, offering hands‑on mentorship from senior partners and the chance to develop into a senior specialist.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review wills, lasting powers of attorney, probate and estate administration documents.
• Assist high‑net‑worth and multi‑generational clients with trust and non‑contentious private client matters.
• Manage a personal caseload under supervision, ensuring accuracy and client satisfaction.
• Collaborate with a small team of fee‑earners and secretarial support to maintain the firm’s substantial wills bank.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor (NQ to 2 PQE) or trainee solicitor approaching qualification.
• Previous experience in private client work with a solid understanding of wills, LPAs, probate and estate administration.
• Desire to build a long‑term career in a supportive, ethically driven environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of private client legislation and practice.
• Ability to manage cases independently while adhering to supervision guidelines.

What we offer

• Salary £40,000–£60,000 DOE plus bonus.
