Private Client Solicitor / Lawyer (3+ PQE) – Bath

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Lawyer to join our newly‑opened Bath office. This is a hybrid, flexible position offering the chance to shape and grow our private client practice in the South West.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive advice to individuals, families, business owners and high‑net‑worth clients on wills, estate planning, probate, trusts and inheritance tax.
• Administer estates and manage lasting powers of attorney.
• Develop and maintain long‑term client relationships, working closely with accountants, independent financial advisers and other professional referrers.
• Contribute to the growth of the Private Client team and enhance the firm’s regional profile.
• Identify opportunities for business development and cross‑selling services.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with at least 3 years post‑qualification experience in Private Client work.
• Strong technical knowledge across a broad range of private client matters.
• Excellent communication and client‑care abilities.
• Proactive, ambitious and comfortable working both autonomously and collaboratively.
• Commercial awareness and interest in business development.
