Private Client Solicitor / Legal Executive

About the role

This position offers an excellent opportunity for a Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive to join an ambitious, forward‑looking firm with clear growth ambitions. You will manage your own caseload of private client matters, providing specialist advice and support to a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload of private client work, including wills, trusts and probate.
• Draft wills and trusts and prepare probate applications of varying complexity.
• Advise clients on Lasting Powers of Attorney and handle both contentious and non‑contentious probate matters.
• Make applications to the Court of Protection and support elderly or vulnerable clients.
• Prepare deeds of variation, advise on gifts and liaise with solicitors, the Probate Registry, Land Registry, Office of the Public Guardian and other third parties.
• Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals as required.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years post‑qualification experience as a Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive.
• Broad experience across private client work with strong technical knowledge.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage a full caseload independently.
• Strong client care and communication skills, with a proactive and professional approach.
• Desire to contribute to the firm’s growth and development.
