Private Client Solicitor – London

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join a dynamic team in central London. The role is full‑time and permanent, offering the chance to work with high‑net‑worth individuals on complex estate and tax matters while contributing to the firm’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Report directly to the Partners and act as an integral member of the Private Client team.
• Provide legal advice on inheritance tax planning, care‑home fee planning, wills, lasting powers of attorney and estate administration, including multi‑jurisdictional assets.
• Proactively generate new business in line with the department’s Business Development strategy.
• Meet individual targets for fees, chargeable hours and business development with minimal supervision.
• Maintain high client satisfaction and build lasting relationships with clients and referrers.
• Ensure compliance with ISO‑based file‑keeping standards and financial procedures.
• Delegate and cross‑refer work appropriately and support the development of junior colleagues.
• Travel and work out‑of‑hours as required for business development, meetings and training.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with relevant professional qualifications.
• Minimum of 10 years post‑qualification experience in private client work.
• Demonstrated expertise in IHT planning for UHNW/HNW clients and multi‑jurisdictional assets.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to meet fee and chargeable‑hour targets.
• Excellent client service skills and ability to develop a professional network.
