Private Client Solicitor (Newly Qualified)

About the role

We are seeking a newly qualified Private Client Solicitor to join a well‑established practice in Leatherhead. The position offers hands‑on exposure to a diverse range of private client matters, direct client interaction and a supportive environment for rapid professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Drafting wills and lasting powers of attorney.
• Managing estate administration, probate work and inheritance‑tax considerations.
• Creating and administering trusts.
• Handling elderly‑client matters and Court of Protection cases.
• Advising families, individuals and business owners on succession planning.
• Supporting business development and maintaining strong client relationships.

Required profile

• Newly qualified solicitor (or soon to qualify) with a seat in Private Client.
• Excellent communication skills and a client‑focused approach.
• Proactive attitude and eagerness to develop expertise in trusts, tax and estate planning.
• Commitment to a warm, inclusive workplace.
• STEP qualification or intention to pursue it is a plus, not a requirement.
