Private Client Solicitor – Wills & Probate

About the role

This position offers an experienced Private Client Solicitor the chance to join a well‑established wills and probate team in Greater Manchester. You will manage a diverse portfolio of private client matters while providing senior‑level advice to clients and their families.

Key responsibilities

• Handle a varied caseload covering wills, lasting powers of attorney, probate, estate administration, Court of Protection matters and testamentary trusts.
• Supervise and support junior members of the team, ensuring work meets the highest professional standards.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, particularly with elderly clients and their families.
• Contribute to the growth and development of the department and the wider office.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with a minimum of 3 years PQE in a private client department.
• Strong technical knowledge of wills, probate, lasting powers of attorney, estate administration, the Mental Capacity Act and testamentary trusts.
• STEP qualification advantageous (or candidates working towards it will be considered).
• Excellent client care, organisational and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.
