Private Client Solicitor – Wills & Probate (Part‑time)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Private Client Solicitor specialising in Wills, Probate and Estate Administration to join a friendly Legacy team on a part‑time basis (25–30 hours per week). The role involves managing a varied caseload and delivering compassionate, client‑focused advice to individuals and families.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Probate and Estate Administration matters from instruction to distribution.
• Prepare Probate applications and assist with inheritance tax calculations and submissions.
• Draft Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and other private client documents.
• Administer trusts and support estate planning activities.
• Liaise with beneficiaries, executors, families and professional advisers throughout the Probate process.
• Handle tax matters, including income tax and capital gains tax where required.
• Provide sensitive, expert advice to bereaved clients.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor or Probate Lawyer.
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a collaborative team.
• Strong technical knowledge of wills and probate law.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using case‑management or CRM systems.
