Private Client Solicitor/Legal Executive

About the role

We are seeking a Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive to join a thriving private client department in Hitchin. The successful candidate will have at least two years post‑qualification experience and will handle the full remit of private client work, including tax, estate administration, wills and probate, trusts and court of protection matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive legal advice on tax, estate administration, wills, probate, trusts and court of protection.
• Draft, review and finalise legal documents for private client matters.
• Liaise with clients, HMRC and other stakeholders to ensure smooth case progression.
• Manage probate and trust administration processes.
• Support senior partners with complex client issues and ensure regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years PQE in private client work.
• Qualified solicitor or experienced legal executive.
• Ability to cover the full range of private client services.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented and able to work in a hybrid environment.

Required skills

• STEP (preferred but not essential).
