Private Client Tax Assistant Manager - Compliance

About the role

We are partnering with a respected accountancy practice to find a Private Client Tax Assistant Manager – Compliance. You will own a diverse portfolio of high‑net‑worth clients, delivering first‑class compliance services while enjoying hybrid, flexible working in London.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied portfolio of high‑net‑worth individuals, directors, landlords, sole traders, trusts and partnerships.
• Oversee the Self Assessment compliance process from start to finish.
• Prepare and review complex personal tax returns.
• Advise clients on Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, foreign income and investment matters.
• Handle trust and partnership tax returns, HMRC correspondence, P11Ds and PAYE Settlement Agreements.
• Identify tax planning opportunities and support advisory projects such as residency, inheritance tax and capital gains matters.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of the wider tax team.

Required profile

• Experience managing your own private client tax portfolio within a UK accountancy practice.
• Strong UK Private Client Tax Compliance experience.
• Excellent technical knowledge of personal taxation.
• Proactive, client‑focused approach.
• ATT or CTA qualification, or equivalent experience.
