Private Client Tax Consultant – 4‑Month Fixed‑Term

About the role

Our client, a London‑based accountancy firm, is seeking an experienced Private Client Tax Consultant to support the busy private client tax season. The 4‑month fixed‑term position offers the chance to manage a diverse portfolio of high‑net‑worth individuals and could progress to a permanent role.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Self‑Assessment compliance process for private clients.
• Prepare and review personal, partnership and trust tax returns.
• Advise on income tax, Capital Gains Tax, foreign income and residency matters.
• Handle P11Ds, PSA filings and correspondence with HMRC.
• Identify tax planning opportunities and support partners on advisory work.
• Build strong client relationships and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• Experience managing your own private client portfolio within a UK accountancy practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK personal tax and compliance.
• Excellent client relationship and communication skills.
• UK private client tax compliance experience (preferred).
• Portfolio management experience (preferred).
• ATT, CTA or equivalent qualification (or qualified by experience).
