Private Client Tax Director – London (Hybrid)

About the role

This senior leadership position sits within a leading professional services firm’s Private Wealth and Advisory team. Based in London and operating on a hybrid model, the role focuses on advising high‑net‑worth individuals, families, entrepreneurs and trustees on complex tax and wealth‑structuring matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and advise a portfolio of high‑net‑worth clients, families and trustees.
• Lead complex advisory projects covering succession planning, trusts, estates and inheritance‑tax strategies.
• Act as the primary client contact for key relationships and oversee engagement delivery, budgets and risk.
• Support business development through networking and identifying new advisory opportunities.
• Liaise with tax authorities and external professional advisers.
• Collaborate with internal specialists to deliver integrated advice.
• Mentor and develop junior staff, ensuring compliance with quality and risk procedures.

Required profile

• Strong technical knowledge of UK private client taxation.
• Proven experience advising high‑net‑worth individuals, families and trustees.
• Expertise in succession planning, inheritance tax, trusts and estates.
• Ability to manage client portfolios and lead advisory projects.
• Commercial awareness with a track record of identifying new opportunities.
• CTA, ACA or equivalent qualification.
• Confidence working with senior stakeholders and external advisers.
