Private Client Tax Manager – Hybrid, London

About the role

TPF Recruitment is supporting a leading Top 100 accountancy firm in London that is looking for a Private Client Tax Manager. The role combines compliance and advisory work for high‑net‑worth individuals, business owners, trusts and estates, and offers a flexible, people‑centric environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of private clients, providing advisory and compliance services.
• Act as the primary point of contact, building long‑term relationships with high‑net‑worth individuals and families.
• Oversee preparation and review of self‑assessment, inheritance tax (IHT), capital gains tax (CGT) and trust tax returns.
• Deliver bespoke tax planning solutions, including estate, residency, domicile and succession planning.
• Lead or support advisory projects alongside partners.
• Supervise, mentor and develop junior team members.
• Stay up‑to‑date with legislation and communicate changes to clients and the team.

Required profile

• CTA, ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
• Significant experience in private client tax within an accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of UK personal tax legislation.
• Proven ability to advise high‑net‑worth individuals on complex tax affairs.
• Experience mentoring and developing junior staff.
