Private Client Tax Manager

About the role

A leading firm of Chartered Accountants in London is looking for a CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified Private Client Tax Manager to take full ownership of a varied portfolio of high net worth individuals, trusts and estates. The client base is technically demanding across income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax and trusts, and the firm offers a defined pathway to Senior Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of private clients including HNW individuals, trusts and estates
• Advising across income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax
• Reviewing self assessment tax returns and overseeing the compliance process
• Acting as a key point of contact and building trusted client relationships
• Mentoring junior members of the tax team and liaising with HMRC as required

Required profile

• CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified with a strong private client tax background
• At least six years' experience within a UK Practice environment
• Proven experience managing a portfolio of HNW private clients
• Strong knowledge of UK personal tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax and trusts
• Confident client‑facing manner, organised and able to manage competing deadlines
