Private Client Tax Manager – London

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Private Client Tax Manager to join our UK Private Client team in the City of London. The role involves delivering high‑quality personal and trust tax compliance services to private individuals, families and their associated entities, while providing advisory support on complex tax matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of private clients, ensuring timely delivery of UK personal and trust tax compliance.
• Prepare and review self‑assessment, trust and estate tax returns and related computations.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients on tax compliance, building trusted relationships.
• Support partners with technical input on residency, domicile, remittance and capital tax issues.
• Handle HMRC correspondence and enquiries, drafting responses where required.
• Liaise with corporate tax, accounts, VAT and financial planning teams to provide integrated solutions.
• Identify opportunities for additional advisory services and escalate appropriately.
• Oversee budgeting, recoveries and invoicing for client portfolios.
• Delegate work to junior staff, review their output and provide coaching.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of UK personal and trust tax compliance.
