Private Client Tax Senior – London (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a Private Client Tax Senior to join a leading professional services firm in London. The hybrid position involves delivering both compliance and advisory tax services to individuals, families and trusts, working closely with managers and directors on a varied client‑facing portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review personal tax returns for individuals, partnerships and trusts.
• Support the delivery of private client tax compliance and advisory work.
• Assist with tax planning assignments, including capital gains tax (CGT) and inheritance tax (IHT) matters.
• Liaise with clients to obtain information and resolve queries.
• Collaborate with senior team members on complex advisory projects.
• Handle HMRC correspondence and enquiries where required.
• Ensure compliance with internal quality and risk procedures.
• Mentor junior team members where appropriate.
• Contribute to improving processes and client service delivery.

Required profile

• Experience in personal/private client tax within a practice environment.
• Working towards or already part‑qualified CTA/ATT (or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of UK personal tax compliance.
• Interest in developing advisory experience in private client work.
• Good communication skills and client‑focused approach.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines.
• Motivated to learn and progress within a supportive team environment.
