Private Client Tax Senior Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Private Client Tax Senior Manager to join a professional services firm in Salisbury. You will lead a portfolio of high‑net‑worth clients, providing expert tax advice and ensuring compliance across trusts, estates and individual tax affairs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee a portfolio of private client tax cases, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
• Provide expert tax advisory services to high‑net‑worth individuals, trusts and estates.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Identify and implement tax planning opportunities tailored to client needs.
• Review and approve tax returns prepared by junior team members.
• Support the team in responding to HMRC enquiries and investigations.
• Contribute to the development of internal processes and best practices within the tax department.
• Mentor and train junior staff to enhance team capabilities.

Required profile

• Professional qualifications such as CTA, ACA or equivalent.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK tax legislation, particularly private client tax.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver tailored tax solutions.
• Experience in managing and mentoring junior team members.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
