Private Wealth Legal Director – Leeds

About the role

G2 Legal Limited is seeking a STEP‑qualified solicitor to lead its Private Wealth team in Leeds at Director level. You will manage a high‑value portfolio of complex private client matters, many with cross‑border and multi‑jurisdictional elements, while contributing to the firm’s strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee a high‑value caseload covering wills, succession planning, inheritance tax, trust creation and administration, probate, and powers of attorney.
• Advise high net‑worth and ultra‑high net‑worth individuals, including business owners with international interests.
• Lead and mentor a private wealth team, driving business development and service expansion.
• Collaborate with corporate and tax specialists on business succession planning.
• Handle sensitive, high‑profile estates, including disputed probate cases where required.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years post‑qualification experience in private client work (relevant pre‑qualification experience may be considered).
• STEP qualification or equivalent expertise.
• Proven experience leading or supervising a private wealth team.
• Strong track record advising HNW/UHNW clients on complex estate and succession matters.
• Ability to manage sensitive family dynamics and high‑value estates, including contentious matters.
