Process and Compliance Lead

About the role

The Process and Compliance Lead will join a leading defence and aerospace manufacturer in Ampthill, Bedfordshire. Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for ensuring the company’s quality management system meets the AS9100 Rev D standard and supports successful audit outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver the AS9100 Rev D recertification audit, identifying gaps and driving corrective actions.
• Conduct internal and external audits across product, process and management systems, producing detailed reports and audit checklists.
• Manage Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs), lead root‑cause analysis and implement CAPA plans.
• Collaborate with process owners to resolve findings and continuously improve quality processes.
• Support senior management with progress reporting, risk assessment and audit readiness planning.

Required profile

• Certified Lead Auditor with proven experience in a regulated manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100 Revision D and quality management systems.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct gap analyses, produce structured compliance reports and lead improvement initiatives.
