Procurement Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a Procurement Administrator to join a small procurement team within a global pharmaceutical company. The role ensures timely, cost‑effective supply of medicinal products and packaging materials, supporting the company’s shipments.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with suppliers and carriers to arrange cost‑effective and timely collections.
• Prepare and manage documentation to ensure smooth transit of goods.
• Maintain up‑to‑date data for decision‑making and reporting.
• Create and process purchase orders for pharmaceutical and packaging material orders, ensuring on‑time delivery and minimizing discrepancies.
• Source packaging materials from approved suppliers, balancing purchase price with transport, storage and supply‑chain costs.
• Keep Customer Service and Sales teams informed of order status through regular communication and SAP sales order updates.

Required profile

• Strong communication and customer‑service orientation.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage a varied workload with shifting priorities.
• Proficiency with business systems and data handling.
• Experience in purchasing or procurement within a pharmaceutical environment is desirable but not essential.
